My mum found me this book a few months ago. 'The Challenge' Its about breeding championship show budgies but the general information on breeding, and health I found invaluable when I started to breed mine. It covers every eventuality someone breeding budgies may come across be it pet birds or show birds. Is a bit pricey at £40 but Mum picked mine up in a general bookstore for less than a fiver Smiley

Sorry, I know this is an old post, but the book is a great read for all budgie enthusiasts and I bought my copy from Riversway bird products online. It is £40 but a lovely hardback book packed full of budgie info.

Hi Pegasus. I must say this book has helped me through some rough times as far as breeding gos. The version I have is outdated maybe on alot of medical stuff, but the general info on the upkeep, breeding and genetics of budgies is faultless I reckon.  It is my basic budgie bible now:)
