How To Hold A Budgie


Depending on what you want to hold it for, there are a lot of reasons for holding a budgie.

I'm sure there are people who do it differently to me, but this is how I do it:

Holding close to face to talk to:

  

Holding when needing to check claws and vent etc:

  

Holding head still for checking beak and eyes especially:

  

Holding to calm down or comfort:

  

This is the hold I use when picking the up bird from a perch or ledge or whatever:
